Many private donations were also received.
For more funding a small souvenir shop was set up at The Adventure Club headquarters where we sold VCD's, items salvaged, and the dive camp t’shirts. All proceeds went to the dive camp.

Many thanks also go out to the local businesses that assisted the dive camp by donating equipment.

For donating equipment:
Moskito Diving
Viking Divers
Dive Supply, Phuket
R.A.I.D
Andy Milosovic
Phi Phi Scuba Diving
Princess Divers
Help Koh Phi Phi Foundation

For their energy and amazing efforts:
Hi Phi Phi

Aree Foundation

For organizing fund raising events:
Carlito's Bar
Tiger Bar, Phi Phi Island
Reggae Bar, Phi Phi Island

The funding was used for a number of things such as:
Purchasing equipment, such as lift bags, ropes, netting, knives, bags, etc etc.
Hiring of dive boats and long tail boats.
Rental of dive tanks.
Providing lunches and dinner for all volunteers and Thai Staff.
Employing 20 to 30 Thai staff per month.
Providing accommodation to all Thai staff and any volunteers staying longer than 2 weeks.
Although the main objective was to clean up the island a secondary objective was to provide jobs to the many local people that no longer had any other job opportunities and in fact, many other businesses benefited indirectly through the income that was brought in by the dive camp volunteers.
