Diving Long Beach

Long Beach is another shallow dive site located at the southern most tip of Tonsai Bay on Phi Phi Don Island. This is a gently sloping reef that extends about 200meters from the shoreline of Phi Phi Don and is ideal for a nice drift dive or a night dive. For a number of possible reasons, such as tidal movement, and the safety of its shallow corals that attract many varieties of fish to breed here, this also draws many pelagic fish such as trevellies, barracudas, queenfish and mackerels that come here to feed.

It is also home to the largest population of Black Tip reef sharks Carcharinus melanopterus) in the area, that prefer swimming in the only a few feet of water. The Shark Aware Program was set up to take people to swim with these sharks and study them in their natural environment.
Sorry though, this is only a 'snorkeling adventure', but there is a money-back guarantee to see sharks!
